I am passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults through the tough stuff of their lives - anxiety, depression, friendship and relational skills, executive functioning skills, emotional dysregulation, family dynamics, perfectionism, and gender identity. By creating a space in which they can express themselves and explore new strategies in an age-appropriate way, I am able to come alongside in a way that is unique and powerful.

My work is guided by a strength-based approach where collaboratively, each person and I build on the strengths they already have to help them grow. The relationship between me and each young person I work with is really the foundation of our work together, so we start there.  By taking time to identify each client’s interpersonal assets, individual traits, and unique insight, we can pinpoint which coping skills that will best help each person grow. I want my clients to have more compassion for themselves and others and find greater peace in their lives. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, such as Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuro-relational Child-Centered Play Therapy,  Sand Tray Therapy, and utilize mindful self-compassion practices to support my clients.

By tailoring my approach for each individual, meeting them where they are, I’m able to help them build skills and coping strategies that work for them and help them explore the impact that their thoughts, feelings, and actions have on their wellbeing. We’ll heighten emotion awareness and work on communicating those feelings to others, but we’ll also move into discussing how to deal with and regulate our emotional responses and better relate to others. Parents are an essential part of the healing and growth of their children. My work is very collaborative with child and parents alike - as parents, you are incredibly meaningful to your children’s journeys. I am interested in educating parents on how to provide some of the skills, communication strategies, and empathic responses that will best help support your child.
