EMDR

Therapy for Trauma Recovery

Trauma changes your brain by leaving lasting imprints on the mind and body, affecting emotions, behaviors, and relationships long after the events have passed.

NOW OFFERING EMDR INTENSIVES!

What is an Intensive?

An EMDR Intensive allows clients to make greater progress at a faster rate by combining multiple sessions into one longer session consisting of multiple hours. It is an immersive experience, enabling you to address root causes, gain clarity, and develop tools for healing in a condensed period. Whether you’re looking to jump-start your therapeutic journey or tackle longstanding concerns, B Well EMDR Intensives provide a powerful and transformative opportunity for meaningful change.

Who Are Intensives For?

Intensives are ideal for clients who:

  • Have complex PTSD
  • Have a block of time to devote to your wellness
  • Find weekly sessions difficult to schedule
  • Need a higher level of care than weekly sessions can provide

EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy

offers a transformative approach to healing by helping individuals process and reframe distressing memories through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories, reducing the emotional intensity and making them feel less overwhelming.

If you are suffering from past trauma or PTSD, EMDR can help you deal with responses to certain triggers. EMDR Therapy is only provided by licensed therapists who have specific training in EMDR.

You don’t have to suffer alone from PTSD and trauma. B Well Counseling Center is here to help.

ABC’s of EMDR

Bilateral Stimulation is a key component of EMDR. It engages both the left and right sides of the brain through guided movements such as eye movements, tapping, and auditory cues.

This process helps the brain reframe the memories, allowing clients to view them in a less distressing way. Over time, the emotional charge associated with the trauma diminishes, empowering you to heal and regain control over your thoughts and feelings.

Benefits during an EMDR session include:

  • Not talking in detail about painful memories
  • Increasing distress tolerance skills
  • Helping to decrease episodes of paranoia
  • Decreasing trauma trigger symptoms
  • Developing mental strength
  • Growth with healing communication

How it Works

At B Well Counseling Center, we want you to know that you are in control of how you approach your journey.

To begin your mental health journey, we invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with one of our therapists to discuss EMDR Therapy.

During the free 15-minute consult, you will learn more about the therapist's counseling style, find answers to any questions you may have, and see if a connection can be established. If you decide the therapist is a good fit for your needs, you may move forward with scheduling your first EMDR Therapy session. Sessions can be scheduled based on your needs and availability and can be stopped, paused, or adjusted at any time.

During your session, you are in charge of what you talk about and we will always respect how you process emotions.

Not a good fit? No problem! There is no obligation to schedule if you do not feel the therapist is a good fit. We will be happy to provide you with referrals.
